In depths of our darkness,
He loved us before we loved ourselves,
Before we knew our worth, He saw our value and worth.
He has plans for us, even when we couldn’t see,
Working for our good, tirelessly.
As humans, we love to play the blame game,
He tells us right, we go left, we fail, it’s His fault, we claim.
Life’s a journey with twists and turns, decisions to make.
He has plans to prosper us, not to harm,
Plans to give us hope, a future that’s bright and warm.
Though it may make no sense and seem like the wrong turn.
You may mess up, doesn’t mean He will pack up and leave,
He still has your back, even if you don’t believe.
You may not be the best, to Him you’re a treasure so rare.
Though the world maybe on fire,
Though you walk through the valley of shadows of death,
He is with you, what love is greater?
He is our Rock, our Refuge, our Fortress, our all.
Our Saviour, Redeemer, Emergency number to call.
Provider, Jehovah, Abba Father, our God.
