Olakunle Churchill Denies Divorce Rumors With Rosy Meurer

Businessman Olakunle Churchill has rejected reports alleging that his relationship with actress Rosy Meurer has ended in divorce. He insists the stories are false and misleading.

On Wednesday, Churchill posted a lengthy statement on Instagram, clarifying that no legally recognized marriage ever existed between him and Meurer.

He explained that only an introduction ceremony took place, not a church or court wedding.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such,” he wrote.

Churchill stressed that the idea of divorce was baseless since there was no formal marriage in the first place.

“There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction,” he said.

He also questioned the authenticity of documents allegedly circulating online, insisting he was never served any legal notice.

“Any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served,” he added.

Alleged Poor Counsel And Media Influence

Churchill alleged that Rosy Meurer was receiving poor advice from individuals lacking proper media and legal expertise.

“I am 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree without due process,” he said.

He dismissed the narrative that Meurer made extraordinary sacrifices by standing beside him during his fallout with ex-wife Tonto Dikeh.

“I do not agree with the narrative that Rosy ‘stood by me’ in a way that should now be exaggerated,” he explained.

However, social media was later awash with pictures of Churchill and Rosy apparently during a traditional wedding, leaving fans to wonder why the narrative was now changing.

Reconciliation With Tonto Dikeh

Churchill addressed speculation that the controversy was linked to his recent reconciliation with Tonto Dikeh. He clarified that their issues were personal and resolved privately.

“Tonto wronged me, and whatever existed between us was ours to resolve. No one confronted her or fought that battle on my behalf,” he said.

Earlier in January, Churchill publicly acknowledged healing with Dikeh, praising her growth and maturity.

He revealed that their son, King Andre, had called him “Daddy” for the first time, describing it as deeply touching. He added: “With God leading, healing and understanding have become possible. Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter.”

Churchill concluded by noting that both he and Dikeh have chosen to forgive each other and move on. “If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone, and if I offended anyone, it should be Tonto. However, we have both chosen to forgive each other,” he said.

Rosy Meurer has yet to issue a public response to Churchill’s statement but his reconciliation with Tonto Dikeh in January may have set the stage for today’s controversy.

That public healing was widely seen as a turning point in Nollywood’s most talked‑about marital feud, with both parties pledging to co‑parent peacefully.

Against that backdrop, the sudden divorce rumors involving Rosy Meurer are fueling speculation that Churchill’s renewed bond with Dikeh may have unsettled his current relationship.

What do you think—should Churchill now pivot back to his ex-wife after they washed their dirty linens in public, or quietly move on with Rosy, who comforted him and stood by him through his marital ordeal? Share your perspective here.
