A member of the Knesset (Israeli parliament) and ex-deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, Rachel Azaria, is said to have raised the ante on the rumors making the rounds about the true identity of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a tweet from his official twitter handle moments ago, self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, who is said to be in exile in the holy land, credited a comment to Rachel Azaria.

”Dear Nigerians, your president is a foreigner. Many around the world are aware of this but unfortunately, only you can do something about it. Shalom!”

However, this comment from Ms Azaria has not been independently corroborated.

Nnamdi Kanu was the originator of this rumor which in spite of even the president’s unprecedented denial in Krakow, Poland on 03 December saying “I assure you….It is the real me” while responding to a group of Nigerians in Poland has continued to generate global speculation and have even been the subject of several comedy bots around the world.

Self-acclaimed leader of the banned group, IPOB.

Furthering his claims, Mr. Kanu asserts seven “scientific findings” on which he predicates his suspicion – the contrast between President Buhari and an imaginary Buhari impostor he refers as Jubril Aminu Al Sudani from Sudan. He gave the 7 scientific signs as,

  1. Palm print
  2. Fulfulde language
  3. Height
  4. Deformed ear
  5. Baldness
  6. Wrinkled hands
  7. Younger look

Only on Sunday 16 December, fierce political critic and PDP chieftain and former aviation minister Chief Femi Fani-Kayode wrote a piece on his Facebook timeline that has since gone viral on the same subject matter titled, “Are You Buhari or Are You Jubril?”
