The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results that were earlier withheld for investigation.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed the development on Thursday in a post on X.
He said the release followed a careful review of cases flagged for suspected examination malpractice.
Benjamin said some results were cancelled where malpractice was proven.
He also said others were cleared after the board found no prima facie case against the candidates.
“While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.”
He added that results from centres with suspicious activity or adverse reports are still being held back.
“Results from centres where the Board’s live monitoring team observed suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, remain withheld pending further investigation.”
He said such results will be cancelled if enough evidence is found.
How Candidates Can Check
JAMB advised affected candidates to check their results by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019.
The message must be sent from the same phone number used during registration.
The 2026 UTME ran from April 16 to 25 at accredited computer-based test centres across Nigeria.
The examination body says the review process is part of its effort to keep the exam fair and clean.
