Osimhen Reports Galatasaray to FIFA Over ₦2.8bn Owed Wage

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reported Galatasaray to FIFA over alleged unpaid wages of ₦2.8 billion for January and February.

Osimhen joined the Turkish club in the summer of 2025 from Napoli in a €75 million transfer. His contract is reportedly worth about €21 million annually, over ₦33 billion.

According to Turkish journalist Dogus, the 27-year-old Super Eagles forward has already contacted FIFA about the salary delay.

“Osimhen, who has not received his payments from Galatasaray, has complained to FIFA and is considering not playing matches if the problem is not resolved,” Dogus posted on his X handle.

Despite the controversy, Osimhen trained ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Galatasaray hold a 5–2 aggregate lead from the first leg and are seeking a place in the round of 16.

Osimhen has been vital to Galatasaray’s campaign, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists in 23 matches this season.

The wage dispute has raised questions about his future in Istanbul.
