The United States Secret Service has launched an investigation into a disturbing video broadcast by Iran’s state television that appears to threaten the life of Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump.
The nearly three‑minute segment, aired by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), carried the chilling title “Where to kill Barron Trump?!” and claimed a $10 million (€8.5 million) bounty had been placed on him.
The footage, broadcast on IRIB Channel 3 and circulated by media affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), purported to track the movements of the 20‑year‑old university student.
It claimed to show:
- The location of Barron’s dormitory at New York University’s Constance Milstein & Family Global Academic Center
- His escort vehicles and the positioning of his United States Secret Service protection detail
- His online activity, alleging he communicates privately via voice and text on Xbox and Discord
- That his movements have been “fully monitored”
The video also alleged that a young woman bypassed Secret Service protocols, met privately with Barron at Trump Tower, and passed information to the programme’s makers — a claim that could not be independently verified.
The segment concluded with a chilling warning: “Barron Trump, wait for us!”
Secret Service Response
Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring confirmed the agency is aware of the material and is taking it seriously.
“The US Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Herring reportedly told CNN.
“Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence,” he added.
A federal law enforcement source told CNN the video is part of a broader Iranian campaign targeting President Trump and his family, with some videos including movement details and suggestions for killing members of the president’s family.
A Pattern of Escalating Threats
The broadcast is the latest in a series of Iranian threats against the Trump family, which have intensified following two major events:
- The assassination of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — killed along with family members during United States‑Israeli strikes on 28 February 2026.
- President Trump’s 2020 drone strike that killed IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani at Baghdad International Airport.
In July, IRGC‑affiliated media released a similar video titled “Where to Kill Melania?!” detailing the First Lady’s movements in New York. Billboards have also appeared across Tehran showing images of Trump family members with the word “KILLED” and messages reading “Hey, Terrorist! Get ready to die.”
