Davido has said he would ask for $500,000 per show for a joint concert tour with Wizkid, expressing confidence that every venue worldwide would sell out.
Speaking on the IONWANNATALK podcast, the award-winning singer reflected on his long-standing relationship and potential collaborations with his fellow Afrobeats icon.
“If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop,” Davido said.
“But if we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out.
Davido disclosed that the duo has not recorded music together in nearly a decade, attributing the gap to being in different mental spaces rather than an inability to work together.
Addressing their long-running fan rivalry, Davido noted that maturity has allowed him to move past previous disagreements and personal differences.
“I felt that way at some point, but not anymore, and it takes a great man to admit that,” he added.
While optimistic about the commercial success of a joint tour, Davido expressed doubts about whether a collaborative song between them would automatically become a hit, citing past joint projects by industry veterans.
