Dele Momodu Warns Akpabio: Tinubu Has No Sacred Cows

Veteran journalist and PDP chieftain, Dele Momodu, has issued friendly advice to Senate President Godswill Akpabio to tread with caution.

He says that President Bola Tinubu sees no politician as indispensable—not even his closest allies.

“This current power is absolutely for Tinubu,” Momodu wrote on a Facebook post. “No one should deceive themselves—no one is indispensable.”

Momodu predicted a wave of internal conflict within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that history is only repeating itself.

“I knew this day would soon come when katakata go burst for the ruling party APC,” he said.

Ganduje’s Exit Signals a Brewing Storm

Reacting to the recent resignation of APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Momodu called him “a tragic hero who took bullets for Tinubu.”

But he warned that like others before him, Ganduje had simply outlived his usefulness.

“Like it happens to all lackeys, his usefulness has expired,” he said. “My friend Akpabio should beware.”

Momodu dismissed the idea that Ganduje resigned purely for health reasons.

He linked the resignation to underground political manoeuvres ahead of Tinubu’s second term ambition.

According to him, “More unexpected events will unfold. No one is sacred.”

Shettima, Ambode and the Lagos Pattern

The PDP stalwart likened Vice President Kashim Shettima’s current political predicament to a familiar Lagos story.

“The fate that has befallen Vice President Shettima today is nothing new. It befell several Deputy Governors in Lagos.”

Momodu specifically mentioned former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as “the biggest casualty.”

He added that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu “merely escaped by the whiskers recently.”

According to him, Tinubu’s style has never changed.

“How could anyone have thought Tinubu’s style would ever change after capturing Lagos State unchallenged for 26 years?”

More Will Fall, Says Momodu

Momodu’s comments suggest a political atmosphere charged with fear and calculated moves.

He described the current political moment as “the season of Machiavelli.”

“The PRINCE does not entertain competition,” he warned.

He insisted that more victims would fall as Tinubu prepares for another term in office.

“Everyone is expendable when it becomes necessary,” he concluded.
