Atiku Launches Ask AA Portal to Take Questions from Nigerians

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has opened a citizen-engagement platform that lets Nigerians question him directly about his record and plans.

The platform is tagged Ask AA.

It went live at 8:30 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

The announcement was contained in a statement by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council.

Atiku is a former Vice President of Nigeria. He served from 1999 to 2007 under President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He is now the ADC’s flagbearer for the 2027 general elections.

Portal Covers Economy, Security and Job Creation

The platform is free to access.

Nigerians can submit questions on the economy, security, technology and job creation.

They can also ask about Atiku’s plan to make life more affordable for citizens.

Atiku will respond to questions personally, while his media team will also help provide answers.

Shaibu said the initiative is designed to close the information gap between voters and the candidate.

According to him, the platform will make it easier for citizens to engage with Atiku and access information about his positions.

“The objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,” Shaibu said.

He added that the initiative reflects Atiku’s commitment to using modern technology to make government more efficient, secure and effective.

For communities without internet access, the campaign plans to make the platform available through a radio interface.

Atiku Says Leadership Is a Two-Way Conversation

Atiku announced the initiative on his social media accounts.

He said he conceived Ask AA because he believes that leadership is a two-way conversation.

“For too long, governance has felt distant—locked behind walls of bureaucracy. But our country’s greatest resource isn’t oil or land; it is our people,” he said.

“If we are going to build the Nigeria of our dreams, we must start by tearing down the walls between leaders and the people.”

He described the platform as a space built for transparency, accountability and dialogue.

“No filters, no intermediaries,” he said.

He invited Nigerians to question his economic record and discuss his policy plans.

He said nothing is off the table.

“Whether you want to question my economic record, discuss my policy plans for technology, security and job creation, or share your own recommendations for national progress, nothing is off the table,” he said.

Atiku also said he will personally call selected citizens who leave their contact details.

He said the calls will let him hear directly about their experiences and the issues affecting their daily lives.

He described a transparent, technology-driven government as a process that begins with how leaders listen to citizens today.

“A transparent, technology-driven government is not a promise for tomorrow. It begins with how we listen to you today,” he said.

He ended his message with a direct invitation to voters.

“I’m logged in and ready. If you could ask me one question, what would it be?” he said.
