Air Peace has announced the launch of direct international flights from Abuja to London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, starting October 26, 2025.
This makes Air Peace the first Nigerian airline to connect Abuja to both of London’s major gateways.
The announcement came on Sunday, with the airline describing the move as a bold step in expanding Nigeria’s global reach.
“We are thrilled to launch these direct services from Abuja to Heathrow and Gatwick,” said Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace. “Our goal has always been to democratise air travel for Nigerians.”
Seamless Travel, Affordable Fares
The new routes will be operated with Air Peace’s wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft, offering passengers premium comfort and generous baggage allowance.
Round-trip fares start from just ₦1 million, making it the most affordable option on the route.
Passengers from any Air Peace domestic destination can now book a single ticket to London via Abuja. No need for multiple bookings or baggage re-checks. “This integrated product offering provides a distinct competitive advantage,” the airline said.
Travellers from London will also enjoy access to multiple Nigerian cities including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, and more—all connected through Air Peace’s Abuja hub.
Boosting Trade, Tourism, and Connectivity
The Abuja–London route is expected to deepen trade, tourism, and cultural ties between Nigeria and the UK.
The airline says the flexibility of choosing multiple cities as entry and exit points will enhance the travel experience.
Air Peace began its London expansion in March 2024 with Lagos–Gatwick flights.
The Abuja launch follows months of negotiations with UK authorities, culminating in the approval of Heathrow slots under the bilateral air services agreement (BASA).
“We’re not just flying to London, we’re giving you more of London,” the airline said in a statement.
