The first four teams have qualified for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after Tuesday’s playoff second legs.

Atlético Madrid advanced with a 4-1 win over Club Brugge in Madrid, completing a 7-4 aggregate victory. Alexander Sorloth scored a hat-trick to secure their place.

Newcastle United also progressed, beating Qarabag 3-2 at St. James’ Park to seal a dominant 9-3 aggregate triumph.

Bayer Leverkusen booked their spot with a 0-0 draw against Olympiacos, having won the first leg 2-0.

The biggest upset came at the San Siro, where Bodo/Glimt defeated Inter Milan 2-1 to complete a 5-2 aggregate win. The Norwegian side became the first club from their country to win a Champions League knockout tie.

Atlético Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Bodo/Glimt, and Newcastle United are the first four teams confirmed for the last 16.

The remaining fixtures will be decided Wednesday, with Atalanta, Juventus, PSG, and Real Madrid all in action.

The round of 16 draw will take place Friday, February 27, at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
