Ronaldo Finally Tie the Knot with Rodriguez in Private Cascais Ceremony

Portugal football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, after nearly a decade together.

The civil ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Ronaldo’s private residence in Quinta da Marinha, in the coastal resort town of Cascais, about 20 miles from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

Ronaldo confirmed the marriage on Instagram, posting a picture of the couple’s hands showing their wedding rings, with the caption “C ❤ G.”

Their five children attended the “private and intimate” ceremony, according to the Brunswick Group, which handles the football star’s public relations.

The wedding came a year after the couple’s engagement announcement on August 11, 2025, and followed days of intense media speculation in Portugal over where and when the ceremony would take place.

Ronaldo, who earlier this year said he did not intend to rush into marriage, had hinted at the ceremony following Portugal’s exit from the 2026 World Cup in the last 16, saying he wanted to marry Rodriguez, whom he met in Madrid in 2016 while she worked as a sales assistant at a luxury Gucci store.

Wedding Comes Days Before Al Nassr's New Season

The marriage capped a relationship that began nine years ago and produced two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, while Ronaldo has three other children from previous relationships and a surrogate arrangement.

Rodriguez, 31, boosted her own public profile with the Netflix series “I Am Georgina,” which chronicles the family’s life between football, fashion and travel.

The wedding came just four days before Ronaldo’s club, Al Nassr, begins its 2026-27 Saudi Pro League title defence under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Ronaldo, 41, has scored nearly 1,000 goals across his career, spanning Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and the Portugal national team, and has won the Ballon d’Or, awarded annually to the world’s best footballer, five times.

The goal-scoring record has fuelled speculation over how long the veteran forward will continue playing in pursuit of a milestone that remains firmly within reach.
