He stated that “complications arose after the liver failed again, and his condition deteriorated until his passing.” The actor’s remains are currently at the morgue.
Stanley asked the public to stop sharing unverified stories about the illness. He wants the focus to remain on honoring the legacy of the talented star.
He wrote: “We request that everyone allow Alex to rest in peace and respect the privacy of his family during this difficult time.”
Providing more context, Stanley added: “Alex was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in 2024. After undergoing treatment and a liver transplant, he briefly returned to work.”
He concluded: “Unfortunately, the liver failed again and complications arose, and his condition deteriorated until his passing. His remains have been deposited at the morgue. May his soul rest in peace.”
The actor’s career spanned over a decade, earning him numerous awards. His bravery in working while ill shows his deep love for the Nigerian creative arts.
