The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will begin selling nomination forms for the 2027 general election on April 25.
The ruling party shared its updated schedule after the 186th meeting of its National Working Committee (NWC).
APC set the cost of presidential nomination forms at ₦70 million, while the expression of interest forms will cost ₦30 million.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Meseko, explained that the sale of forms will run from April 25 to May 2, with submission closing on May 4.
He said screening for legislative and governorship aspirants will take place between May 6 and May 8, while presidential aspirants will be screened on May 9.
Primaries for the House of Representatives are scheduled for May 15, Senate primaries for May 18, and State Assembly primaries for May 20.
Governorship primaries will hold on May 21, followed by the presidential primaries on May 23.
Meseko rejected claims that nomination forms would be restricted. “Forms are available for every member who is running in the election. This method has no limitations or restrictions,” he said.
He added: “This method serves as a hybrid model combining direct and consensus primaries, with the consensus option requiring agreement from all aspirants. When there is agreement and an aspirant disagrees, it automatically goes back to direct primaries.”
The APC has shared its plan with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC, Nigeria’s electoral body), ensuring compliance with official timelines.
