Afrobeats superstar Davido has spoken out strongly against a bullying incident captured in a viral video involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.
In a post shared on X on Sunday, the singer, whose real name is David Adeleke, reacted to the footage currently circulating online.
โF**ing animalsโฆ so disgusting,โ he wrote.
In the viral clip shared on X, two male students were seen repeatedly beating and kicking another student who lay helplessly on the ground.
At one point in the video, one of the students was seen dragging the victim by his suit and stomping on his chest while the boy cried in pain.
Meanwhile, a third student who recorded the incident could be heard pleading with them to stop.
The video sparked widespread outrage on social media and prompted swift disciplinary action by the school authorities.


According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Eno Ikioedem, the school management had already expelled the students directly involved in the bullying.
The statement also disclosed that the student who recorded the video had been suspended.
The command further stated that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Monday Agbonika, had directed the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area to begin a thorough investigation into the incident.
โThe Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,โ the statement said.
The police added that investigations have begun and assured the public that those involved will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law, taking into consideration their respective ages.
Davido is deeply tied to Edo State, where his late mother, the widow of billionaire Adedeji Adeleke of Ede, Osun State, hails from.
