European champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) marched into the semifinals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a commanding 2-0 victory over German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in a fiery quarterfinal clash on Friday night.

Second-half goals from Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé secured the win for the French giants, who showcased both resilience and clinical finishing. Despite being reduced to nine men following red cards to Willian Pacho and Theo Hernandez, PSG held firm throughout a heated contest.

The match, played at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, saw tempers flare and intensity rise in the second half.

A dark cloud hovered over the game when Bayern’s young star Jamal Musiala suffered a horrific injury after a high-speed collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 22-year-old was stretchered off the pitch and is expected to undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury. Initial reports suggest potential ligament damage, a devastating blow for both club and country.

With the victory, PSG advance to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the highly anticipated quarterfinal between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.

The match promises to be another thrilling encounter, as PSG look to add the Club World Cup to their recent UEFA Champions League triumph.

The Club World Cup continues with high stakes and even higher drama as the tournament edges toward its final stages.
