POEM: “Nigeria”

Nigeria is hard,
Nothing free again.
All the freebies have left with the free breeze,
Only thing left are big fees.
Many people dying with big dreams.
And buried no more 6, but 5 feet.

Usually we shout ‘Oh my gosh’,
But now na ‘Sweet geez’.
Nothing pure,
Only thing pure na pure bliss.
Pressure dey, everything hard,
Like say na pop quiz.
No money,
Pesin wan go high so e fit c breeze.
The poor dey beg,
The rich dey there dey chop fresh fish.
I no dey press, who da one help?
Na to live stress free.

Let the poor breath!
But who dey listen?
After all we no be big fish.
Who dey check meat?
Na if you see food then,
You talk about meat.
2024, No gree for anybody!
Government laugh us finish.
Everyday na surprise.
E still no stop us,
We shine shoe with oil,
You sef go think say na polish.
