Destiny Daniels, the younger sister of actress Regina Daniels, has dismissed reports that the actress is back with her estranged lawmaker husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after a video showing Regina at Nwoko's residence circulated online.
The video, which showed Regina spending time with her sons and stepchildren inside what was said to be Nwoko’s house, left many social media users stunned, as few expected Regina to return to the politician’s home following their public breakup last year.
The clip subsequently fuelled rumors that Regina had quietly returned to her matrimonial home and was expecting her third child with the senator, a Delta North lawmaker known for his vast business interests and his championing of the creation of Anioma State out of the current Delta State.
According to the circulating footage, Regina appeared unaware she was being filmed live on TikTok by her stepson, Amir Nwoko, until the camera captured her.
She reportedly screamed and playfully hit him upon realising she was on camera, before scrolling through her phone to read comments about herself and asking that the live video be ended, saying “Amir, can you cut it. Jesus. Off it, off it,” before standing up to end the recording herself.
Destiny Takes to Instagram to Set the Record Straight
Destiny, however, took to her Instagram Story to dismiss the reunion claims, pushing back directly against the narrative that had built up around the viral video.
Her intervention came as the clip continued to circulate widely, with many online commentators speculating about the state of Regina’s marriage following her earlier public statements distancing herself from Nwoko.
The denial has not fully quieted online speculation, as the video’s timing and setting continue to fuel discussion about whether the couple have reconciled privately despite their harsh public separation.
Regina and Nwoko’s relationship has remained a subject of persistent public interest since their initial breakup was announced, with fans and commentators closely tracking developments through social media appearances by the couple and their children.
Mercy Johnson’s Tepid Comment
Meanwhile, Regina's bestie, fellow Nollywood Actress Mercy Johnson, posted a comment online but made no direct reference to Regina or anyone else. She advised her fans to refrain from joining in on issues involving couples in marital crises, as only they know their truth and could potentially resolve them themselves.
