UEFA Confirms Champions League Round of 16 Draw

UEFA has released the Champions League Round of 16 draw, setting the path to the 2026 final in Budapest. The draw was conducted Friday, February 27, in Nyon, Switzerland.

Arsenal will face Bayer Leverkusen, while Liverpool meet Galatasaray.

Manchester City must overcome Real Madrid, and Chelsea will battle defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Newcastle will take on Barcelona, and Tottenham face Atletico Madrid. Bayern Munich play Atalanta, while Sporting meet Bodø/Glimt.

UEFA explained that clubs were paired based on league phase rankings, with seeded teams drawn into bracket positions against knockout playoff winners.

The quarter-final, semi-final, and final paths were determined by these placements.

Key dates include Round of 16 matches on March 10–11 and 17–18, quarter-finals on April 7–8 and 14–15, semi-finals on April 28–29 and May 5–6, and the final on May 30 in Budapest.

Quarter-final pairings will see Paris/Chelsea vs Galatasaray/Liverpool, Real Madrid/Man City vs Atalanta/Bayern, Newcastle/Barcelona vs Atleti/Tottenham, and Bodø/Glimt/Sporting vs Leverkusen/Arsenal.
