Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Named Top Employer in Africa for 2026

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has been named a Top Employer in Africa for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, reaffirming its position among organisations prioritising strong people practices across the continent.

The regional recognition comes alongside country-level certifications for CCBA operations in Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The 2026 results reflect both continuity and expansion, as CCBA strengthens its human capital strategy across multiple markets.

This marks the second consecutive year that CCBA has achieved regional-level Top Employer status.

Its operations in Ethiopia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda, which were certified previously, recorded improved performance scores compared to the prior year.

Expansion Into New Markets

The 2026 certification cycle also represents a milestone for CCBA, with Botswana, Kenya, and Mozambique receiving Top Employer recognition for the first time.

The inclusion of these markets signals a more consistent application of people-focused policies across the company’s African footprint.

According to the Top Employers Institute, participating organisations are assessed through a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey that evaluates performance across six core domains.

These include People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing.

The Institute operates in over 125 countries and regions globally and is widely regarded as an authority in HR certification, benchmarking, and advisory services.

Leadership Emphasis on People and Growth

Reacting to the recognition, CCBA’s Chief People and Culture Officer, Natasa Prodanovic, said the certification reflected the company’s long-term investment in its workforce.

“This certification demonstrates our commitment to unparalleled professional growth for our people, providing an exciting journey of learning and development within a passionate, caring team,” Prodanovic said.

She added that CCBA’s culture is closely tied to both business performance and social impact.

“We thrive on delivering beloved Coke brands, making a positive impact on communities, and achieving market success together. We invest in our people to foster an inclusive and thriving workplace that accelerates our growth,” she said.

Prodanovic further noted that career ownership remains central to CCBA’s people philosophy.

“At CCBA, we don’t hand you a role, we create an opportunity, give you the tools and we challenge you to build a career, to make it yours,” she added.

As competition for skilled talent intensifies across Africa, CCBA’s repeat regional certification highlights the growing importance of structured people strategies in sustaining business performance.

The improved scores across previously certified countries suggest incremental progress rather than one-off recognition.

For CCBA, the 2026 Top Employer Africa title positions the company as an employer of choice within the consumer goods and manufacturing sector, while reinforcing the link between workforce development, operational stability, and long-term growth across its African markets.
