Osasu Ogwuche Named Among Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People

Founder of TOS Foundation Africa and Chief Executive Officer of the TOS Group of Companies, Chief (Mrs) Osasu Igbinedion Ogwuche, has been named among Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People for 2025 by Ranks Africa.

The recognition acknowledges her sustained work in advancing inclusive governance, gender equity and citizen participation across Nigeria and the wider African continent.

Over the past year, Ogwuche has emerged as a leading voice in efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic process, particularly through advocacy for the Reserved Seats for Women Bill.

As Convener of the national advocacy coalition backing the bill, she played a central role in moving it from a legislative proposal to a national conversation, engaging lawmakers across party lines alongside traditional and religious leaders.

Her advocacy framed women’s political representation as a foundation for restoring public trust and building stronger democratic institutions.

Advocacy Beyond Politics and Governance

Beyond political reform, Ogwuche’s work has extended into social and economic issues that directly affect women’s lives and family wellbeing.

Through the Shift the Needle Campaign, she supported state-level advocacy aimed at increasing domestic funding for family planning and reproductive health services.

The campaign, built around a tailored advocacy toolkit for state First Ladies, linked reproductive health to maternal survival, girls’ education, household stability and long-term economic productivity.

Her commitment to transparency and accountability is also reflected in the 469Tracker, a civic technology platform supported by TOS Foundation Africa to monitor legislative performance and deepen citizen engagement in governance.

Ogwuche also convenes the annual TOS Symposium, a policy forum that brings together policymakers, civil society leaders, development partners and young people to examine inclusive growth and Nigeria’s demographic realities.

Across her initiatives, she has consistently stressed evidence-based decision-making, collaboration and long-term planning as essential tools for sustainable development.
