Air Peace has delayed several flights across Nigeria after heavy rainfall disrupted operations in Lagos on Tuesday morning.
The airline made this known in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe.
“Due to the heavy downpour of rain in Lagos this morning, some flights across our operating networks will be delayed,” the statement read.
Air Peace said the weather was beyond its control but assured passengers of its commitment to safety.
“While weather is beyond our control and safety remains our utmost priority, we appeal for your understanding as we manage the disruptions as best as we can and get you to your destinations safely.”

The airline advised passengers to reach out via email or phone for updated schedules.
It added, “Safety is not just a priority but a core commitment. We remain dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards for our passengers and crew.”
The delays come amid a nationwide weather alert issued by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, which predicted thunderstorms and flash floods from Monday to Wednesday.
NiMet’s forecast warned of isolated thunderstorms over Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba.
Flash floods are likely in Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe states.
In the central region, moderate rainfall is expected over Niger, Kogi, Kwara, the FCT, and Benue.
NiMet also predicted cloudy skies with sunshine intervals in the morning, followed by rain in the afternoon and evening.
