Amorim’s Men Frustrated Again as Fulham Snatch Point

Manchester United’s Premier League woes deepened on Sunday as they were held to a 1–1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Despite a bright start, Ruben Amorim’s men failed to convert dominance into victory, leaving fans restless and the manager visibly frustrated.

“We forgot how to play,” Amorim admitted post-match. “We slipped into a defensive shell instead of killing the game.”

Penalty Miss and Defensive Collapse

United had a golden chance to take the lead in the first half when Mason Mount was dragged down by Calvin Bassey.

VAR intervened, and referee Chris Kavanagh awarded the penalty. Bruno Fernandes stepped up but sent his shot sailing over the bar.

Fernandes later claimed his run-up was disrupted by a collision with the referee, adding to his frustration.

The breakthrough came in the 58th minute. Leny Yoro rose highest from a corner, and his header deflected off Rodrigo Muniz for an own goal.

But Fulham responded almost instantly. Emile Smith Rowe, on the pitch for less than two minutes, latched onto Alex Iwobi’s cross and fired home.

United’s Momentum Stalls Again

United retreated after scoring, inviting pressure and losing control of the match.

Matheus Cunha had earlier struck the post and forced multiple saves from Bernd Leno, but the visitors couldn’t find a second goal.

Harry Maguire came close late on, but Fulham held firm to earn their first home point against United in nine attempts.

The draw leaves United 16th in the table with just one point from two games. Fulham sit 13th with two draws.

Can Amorim find answers before their Carabao Cup clash with Grimsby Town? Or will the pressure around Old Trafford continue to mount?
