Ademola Lookman Eyes €40 Million in Inter Milan Transfer Deal

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is on the verge of a high-profile move to Inter Milan from Atalanta.

The 26-year-old winger has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants, paving the way for a potential €40 million switch this summer.

According to respected Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter have made a strong approach for Lookman and are prepared to table a formal bid.

“Inter are serious about Lookman, agreement with the player, €40m ready for Atalanta,” Di Marzio stated.

Inter Pushes, Atalanta Holds Out

Lookman remains under contract at Atalanta until 2027, but Inter are banking on a promise reportedly made by the Bergamo club—to let the Nigerian forward leave if a suitable offer arrives.

While Atalanta are asking for €50m, Inter have made it clear they won’t exceed €40m.

“Atalanta are asking for at least €50m, but Inter do not intend to go beyond their proposal,” Di Marzio added.

Mr Lookman, when he’s not scoring goals

Despite the valuation gap, the Nerazzurri are optimistic that Lookman’s agreement with them and his standout form last season will help push the deal through.

They are, however, not willing to wait forever.

“If talks drag on, Inter may decide to move on to other targets, including Nico Gonzalez,” the report added.

Lookman’s Star Continues to Rise

The Nigeria international was a standout performer for Atalanta last season. He scored 15 goals and played a pivotal role in the club’s historic UEFA Europa League victory.

His dribbling, pace, and eye for goal have turned heads across Europe, and Inter believe he has the quality to boost their attack as they prepare for another Champions League campaign.

If this deal goes through, Lookman will join an elite club in Italian football, playing in one of Europe’s toughest leagues.

Should Atalanta accept Inter’s offer, would Lookman thrive under pressure at San Siro, or would he be better off staying put? What would you advise the Nigerian superstar?
