Manchester City maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Mateo Kovacic’s brace and Jeremy Doku’s stunning strike secured the win for Pep Guardiola’s side, who remain second in the Premier League table, just a point behind leaders Liverpool.

Fulham, however, proved to be formidable opponents, with Andreas Pereira opening the scoring in the 26th minute. Adama Traore’s pace and skill caused constant threats to City’s defense, but Ederson’s crucial saves kept the champions in contention.

Kovacic leveled the score just before halftime and added his second goal early in the second half. Doku sealed the win with a blistering shot in the 82nd minute, but Rodrigo Muniz’s late strike ensured a tense finish.
Post-Match Reactions
Kovacic dedicated his goals to his pregnant wife, saying, “It means a lot… It’s nice to score, but the most important thing is the team and that we won today.“

Guardiola praised Kovacic’s performance, stating, “He did really well. We used that weapon, and Kova did really well.“
