The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and other leaders of the party paid a courtesy call on the Sultan of Sokoto and head of the Nigerian Islamic faith, Sa’ad Abubakar on Monday 4 February.
The visit was squeal to the presidential rally at Gusau, Zamfara State.
In his remarks to his visitors, the non-committal Sultan Abubakar welcomed them but charged politicians to confront and address issues of insecurity, poverty and unemployment troubling the country if elected.
Atiku Abubakar has since left for Jalingo, Taraba State as his next stop in continuation of his nation-wide presidential campaigns.
