Nigerian singer, Alexander Adelabu, popularly known as Magixx, has announced the death of his mother, Esther, describing her passing as one of the most painful experiences of his life.
The 26-year-old Mavin Records artiste shared the news in a tribute on social media, where he said he was struggling to accept the reality of losing his mother.
In an emotional tribute, Magixx remembered Esther as a strong, loving and selfless woman who dedicated herself to her family and extended kindness to those around her. Despite battling illness, he said, she remained a source of love, strength and support to many.
The singer described his late mother as his reason, his motivation and his guardian, while also referring to her as his “twin” and “everything.”
“I have never felt pain like this. Never been this lost. Still processing that this is real. Can’t believe this happened to you, Mom,” he wrote.
You are my reason, my why, my guardian, my twin, my everything,” he added.
Magixx also remembered Esther for her free spirit, wit and kindness, saying those who came into contact with her were easily drawn to her personality.
He expressed regret that he could not tell her one more time in person how much he loved her, adding that he would choose her as his mother again in every lifetime.
His tribute has drawn sympathy from fans, colleagues and well-wishers, many of whom have offered prayers and condolences to the singer and his family during this difficult period.
