Turkish President Erdoğan Hosts Osimhen After Galatasaray Title Win

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has hosted Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates after their Turkish Süper Lig triumph.

Galatasaray wrapped up the season with its 26th league title, finishing three points ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe.

Osimhen played a major part in the title run, scoring 15 league goals and adding five assists in 22 matches.

He also shone in the UEFA Champions League, where he scored seven goals and provided three assists before Galatasaray went out to Liverpool FC in the round of 16.

Title Glory In Ankara

The Galatasaray squad visited the Presidential Complex in Ankara after sealing the league crown.

President Erdoğan received the players in a formal ceremony, where they wore black suits and shook hands with the Turkish leader.

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek also presented the club jersey to Erdoğan during the visit.

The meeting came after a strong season that kept Galatasaray ahead of Fenerbahçe and secured another domestic title for the club.

Osimhen’s performances made him one of the biggest names in the campaign, and his goals helped push Galatasaray over the line.

What Comes Next

Galatasaray now has its eyes on making history again next season.

If the club wins the title once more, it will become the first Turkish side to claim five straight league championships.

Osimhen has already collected three trophies with the club, which has made his stay in Turkey a success so far.

At the same time, transfer talk around the Nigerian forward is growing.

Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have all been linked with him, but Galatasaray want to keep him for another push.

For now, the title celebration and Erdoğan visit have placed Osimhen even more firmly in the spotlight after a season that combined goals, trophies and rising interest from Europe.
