Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has ignited a heated conversation after declaring that financial burden in relationships can cross into exploitation.
On his Instagram page, he wrote: “If it costs you money every time you see her, that’s prostitution not a relationship.”
His statement quickly spread across social media, drawing sharp reactions from fans and critics alike.
Some users agreed with him, calling the practice a red flag. Obhiglo posted: “Some relationships no be dating again, na premium billing. Before you fall in love, check your balance.”
Others countered his view. UtdOlami wrote: “And if it cost you money anytime you see him likewise.”
Mr Larendo rejected Iyke’s stance: “He has no right to tell me what I should do in my relationship.”
