Celebrity Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, was remanded in Kuje prison on Thursday, April 1, 2026.
The Federal High Court in Abuja issued the order following his arraignment on multiple charges, including impersonation and forgery.
Consequently, the tech mogul will remain in custody for 26 days. This period means he will spend the Easter festivities behind bars.
The legal battle stems from a dispute with social media activist Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan. Blord is alleged to have used the activist’s identity without consent.
VeryDarkMan shared a video of the entrepreneur’s transfer to the correctional facility on his Instagram page to confirm the development.
“LINUS WILLIAMS IFEJIRIKA A.K.A BLORD have been remanded at the Kuje correctional center. He is remanded for 26 days, meaning he will be spending his Easter in prison,” the activist wrote.
Court Hears Allegations Of ₦500 Million Brand Forgery
The prosecution presented evidence suggesting that Blord fabricated a professional relationship with the activist to promote his business interests.
The entrepreneur allegedly forged travel documents and financial transactions to mislead the public.
“BLORD was arraigned today 1/4/2026 at the Federal High Court in Abuja on different count charges. As you all know Mr Linus forged flight tickets with my name ‘Martins Otse’,” the statement continued.
The activist alleged that Blord claimed he was traveling to Onitsha to participate in a high-profile product launch.
“He claimed I was coming to Onitsha to join him in launching his blunt gadget app. He also claimed he paid me 500 million naira to be his brand ambassador,” VeryDarkMan added.
Furthermore, the court heard that the defendant allegedly used the activist’s likeness on physical advertisements across the country.
Unauthorized Billboards And Identity Theft Charges
The controversy deepened as the complainant detailed how his face was used to endorse the “Billpoint” application without his permission.
“He also claimed I martins Vincent Otse approved billpoint app. He printed a billboard with my face on it and claimed I was his ambassador without my permission,” the activist stated.
Meanwhile, legal representatives for Blord have not yet secured bail for the embattled entrepreneur. The court insisted on a full hearing of the substantive charges.
“He also printed different fliers with my face on them claiming we agreed. All of these are false,” VeryDarkMan concluded in his post.
Blord is a prominent person in Nigeria’s fintech space, known for his luxury lifestyle and crypto-trading platforms. This remand marks a significant turn in his public profile.
The Nigerian Police Force previously invited the entrepreneur for questioning regarding his business activities and allegations of cybercrime.
This latest court appearance adds a new twist of legal troubles to the businessman’s mounting challenges in Abuja.
