A 13-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident that left two pupils injured at a school in northwest London, United Kingdom, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

Police were called to the school in northwest London after reports that two boys had been stabbed on school premises. The victims were teenagers were ages 12 and 13.

Emergency services arrived promptly, treating the victims for serious but non-life-threatening injuries before transporting them to a local hospital for further care.

The suspect, also a pupil at the school, was immediately detained by police officers.

Following an initial investigation, he has been formally charged with attempted murder and is now in custody, awaiting a hearing at a youth court.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said “We were called to a school in northwest London following reports of a stabbing involving two boys. Officers attended immediately, and a 13-year-old male was arrested at the scene. Both victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The boy has been charged with attempted murder and will appear before a youth court in due course.”

Investigations To Be Concluded Soon

Authorities have assured residents that they are working closely with the school to provide support and ensure the safety of all pupils.

This case is one of the few instances in recent months where a minor has faced charges for violent offences within a school environment in London.

The Metropolitan Police stressed that their priority is to safeguard young people and maintain a secure learning environment.

We continue to work with school officials and local partners to prevent such incidents and ensure pupils feel safe,” the police added.

As investigations continue, the school has confirmed that counseling services are being made available to affected students and staff.

Parents in the area have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to authorities.
