US President Donald Trump was seen with a large bruise on his left hand while delivering a speech about his Gaza “Board of Peace” in Davos, Switzerland.
The bruise was sustained on Thursday during a signing ceremony at the World Economic Forum after Trump “hit his hand on the corner of the signing table.”
Speaking later aboard Air Force One en route to Washington, D.C., Trump reassured reporters that he was “doing very good.”
“I clipped it on the table, so I put a little—what do they call it—cream on it, but I clipped it,” he explained.
Trump suggested the noticeable bruise was worsened by aspirin he takes daily.
“I would say take aspirin if you like your heart, don’t take aspirin if you don’t want to have a little bruising,” he said, noting that he takes “the big aspirin.”
“And when you take the big aspirin, they tell you, you’ll bruise,” he added.
Trump claimed his doctor told him he did not need the medication, but he insisted: “I’m not taking any chances. But that’s one of the side effects of taking aspirin.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the incident, saying: “At the Board of Peace event today in Davos, President Trump hit his hand on the corner of the signing table, causing it to bruise.”
Trump has previously acknowledged that his higher-than-recommended aspirin dose makes him prone to bruising.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal earlier this month, he said he takes 325 milligrams daily, arguing that “aspirin is good for thinning out the blood.”
His physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, told the paper that the dosage contributes to easy bruising.
While the bruise sparked speculation, both President Trump and the White House insisted there is no cause for alarm.
Medical experts say bruising from aspirin is common and not necessarily a sign of deeper health problems. According to the Mayo Clinic, daily aspirin therapy can range between 75 and 325 milligrams, and Trump’s dosage falls within that spectrum.
For now, the incident appears minor, with no indication of underlying illness. Still, the visibility of the bruise has renewed public curiosity about the president’s health and his reliance on aspirin therapy.
