Conservative podcaster Candace Owens has refused to retract her claims surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk, despite a reported 4.5‑hour meeting with his widow, Erika Kirk, and staff from Turning Point USA.
Owens told listeners in her first podcast episode after the meeting that she does not believe the individual charged with Kirk’s murder acted alone.
She suggested that foreign governments—including Israel, France, and Egypt—may have been involved, promoting theories that critics say reflect antisemitic rhetoric.
Israeli officials have denied the allegations.
Her position has deepened divisions within the MAGA influencer space. While figures such as Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Dave Smith offered varying degrees of support, others including Tim Pool, Ben Shapiro, and Nick Fuentes condemned Owens’ actions, with Shapiro calling them “evil” and Fuentes branding her a narcissist.
Erika Kirk Pushes Back, Public Reaction Mixed
Authorities have charged Tyler Robinson, 22, with aggravated murder, citing bullet casings inscribed with internet memes and text messages in which Robinson admitted to shooting Kirk.
Prosecutors say Robinson acted out of personal animosity, but Owens has dismissed the affidavit as incomplete.

Erika Kirk has publicly disputed Owens’ claims, providing phone records and documentation to counter allegations such as being followed by Egyptian airplanes.
She described her meeting with Owens as “productive” but has shifted her focus to AmericaFest, a major Turning Point event.
Owens, however, escalated her rhetoric days later, opening her podcast with a sarcastic Shabbat greeting and replacing her theme music with Hava Nagila.
Online reactions to her episode were mixed, with some viewers expressing disappointment. “She said so much and absolutely nothing at the same time,” one commenter wrote.
The controversy demonstrates the growing rift among conservative influencers and how conspiracy narratives continue to whirl around Kirk’s September 10 assassination.
