CDCFIB Postpones Portal Opening [See Full List of Verification Centres]

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board (CDCFIB) has postponed the opening of its recruitment portal for shortlisted candidates scheduled to undergo physical screening and document verification for the 2025 exercise.

The portal, initially set to open from December 1–3, will now be activated “as soon as possible,” according to a statement signed by Secretary Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril and posted on X Monday night. No new date was announced.

Shortlisted candidates were advised to keep checking the official portal — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — for updates. The board apologised for the inconvenience and assured applicants that further announcements would be made via its portal and social media handles.

The CDCFIB stressed that physical verification remains a decisive stage of the recruitment process. At this stage, applicants’ identities, documents, and physical fitness are checked before they progress to the final phase of selection.

Last month, after completing computer-based tests, the board had promised to release the list of shortlisted candidates for physical screening starting December 1.

Nationwide Verification Centres

Despite the portal delay, the CDCFIB has released the comprehensive list of approved physical verification centres across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT. These centres cover all four services under the board:

• Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
• Federal Fire Service (FFS)
• Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
