The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has opened its online application portal for the Airmen/Airwomen Basic Military Training Course 46/2025, inviting qualified Nigerians to enlist in one of the nation’s most respected uniformed services.

The announcement, made via NAF’s official X handle, stated that registration is completely free and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025. Interested applicants are to apply through nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

Upon completing the online registration, candidates are required to print out and duly sign their acknowledgement slip, parent and guardian consent form, and local government area attestation form.

These documents must be endorsed by designated authorities such as a military officer not below the rank of Wing Commander, a police officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank, a substantive local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate.

Eligibility and Requirements

According to NAF, applicants must be Nigerian citizens and physically, medically, and psychologically fit in line with Air Force standards. Male candidates must be at least 1.66 metres tall, while female applicants must be no shorter than 1.63 metres.

For non-tradesmen and women, applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old and possess at least five credits—including Mathematics and English Language—in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.

For tradesmen and women, the age limit is 27 years, with a minimum of a Lower Credit in ND or NCE from an accredited institution, alongside the required five credits in relevant subjects.

Those applying as drivers or in trades requiring technical skill must hold a valid trade test certificate and driving licence, while sportsmen and women must provide evidence of professional achievements such as medals or participation certificates.

No Room for Misconduct

The Force stressed that applicants must not have any prior criminal convictions. It also warned against engaging third parties or paying anyone for recruitment assistance, reiterating that the process remains completely free of charge.

The statement added that shortlisted candidates will later sit for a zonal general aptitude test, with dates and venues to be announced on the official recruitment portal.

NAF reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fairness in the exercise, urging Nigerians to report any fraudulent activities related to the process.
