NYSC Issues 2025 Orientation Safety and Document Rules

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned prospective corps members of Batch B Stream II to come clean or face the law. The scheme says fake documents will not be tolerated.

Orientation begins Wednesday, 24th September 2025, and registration closes by midnight on Friday, 26th September. Swearing-in holds same Friday. The camp ends Tuesday, 14th October.

Kwara State will run a separate schedule from 30th September to 20th October.

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu made the warning clear. “Anyone who presents fake documents will be apprehended, handed over to law enforcement and duly prosecuted.”

Graduates from polytechnics and monotechnics must bring their National Diploma certificates. Foreign-trained graduates must present their international passports and original uploaded documents.

“This is a non-negotiable requirement,” the DG said.

The Corps also warned impersonators and defaulters. “Anyone who fails to report for service or tries to re-enlist after exemption will be prosecuted,” Nafiu added.

Travel Smart, Stay Safe

NYSC strongly discouraged night travel. “Once it is 6pm, break your journey and pass the night at a safe location,” Nafiu advised.

He listed military barracks, police stations, NYSC Secretariats, and Corps Lodges as safe options.

PCMs were urged to use only government-approved motor parks to avoid falling into the hands of criminals.

Married, pregnant, and nursing mothers posted outside their husbands’ states may be allowed to serve closer to home.

They must present proof of marriage, valid ID of their spouse, and evidence of residence.

Medical and health graduates must show registration with their professional bodies before camp registration.

All PCMs must also present a certificate of medical fitness from a government or military hospital. The document must carry the stamp of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).

For lost call-up letters, those who collected theirs from school must get a police report and affidavit. Those who printed online can simply reprint.
