The Nigerian Association of Science Students (NASS) has announced the 2025 National Science Quiz Competition. The primary objective is to bring science students together and make the union’s presence felt globally.
The contest will run across all 36 states, with the state-level round starting this September. Winners will proceed to zonal and national stages.
In Abuja, NASS National President, Comrade Henry Enyinstede, called on zonal coordinators and chapter presidents to work as one.
“We must ensure that schools from every state in the federation are fully represented,” he said.
The Grand Matron of NASS, Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, who also chairs the House Committee on NDDC, urged strict adherence to timelines.
She advised that registration must close by the end of August to allow broad participation from tertiary institutions nationwide.
Preparation and Participation Details
All registered students are urged to confirm their names on NASS’ official Facebook page and join the participants’ WhatsApp group for updates.
“All registered students should save the date, check their names… and join the participants’ WhatsApp group,” Comrade Enyinstede reminded.
The quiz will be conducted as a computer-based test through the association’s website. Participants are encouraged to prepare by studying core science subjects and mathematics.
Comrade Enyinstede’s message was clear — “Study all science courses and mathematics to prepare adequately.”
The association wants this competition to showcase Nigerian science talent to the world.
