After more than a decade of hosting the thought-provoking talk show Your View, Morayo Afolabi-Brown is stepping down from TVC Communications.
Her exit marks the end of an era for many Nigerians who woke up daily to her signature voice, engaging topics, and fiery debates.
TVC made the announcement on Monday, August 5, through a statement by its PR and Corporate Communications Manager, Edward Akintara.
“A Long-Held Passion Project”
According to the official release, Morayo is leaving to chase a dream she has quietly nurtured for years.
“Morayo’s decision to step down after 12 remarkable years as host of Your View is driven by her desire to pursue a long-held passion project that she has nurtured over time.”
Her last appearance on the show will be Thursday, August 29, 2025.
The network praised her contributions to Your View and her role in shaping daytime television in Nigeria.
“We celebrate her for the incredible impact she has made, not only on Your View, but also to millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond.”
Afolabi-Brown was the face and driving force behind the show’s success. Her ability to balance conversations around politics, gender, culture, and public policy turned Your View into a household name.
Though the show will continue with its remaining hosts, many fans believe Morayo’s absence will leave a gap that may be hard to fill.
TVC acknowledged her influence but reassured viewers of continuity.
“Morayo will be dearly missed. However, the show remains strong and will continue to deliver the quality and relevance our audience has come to expect.”
So what’s next for Morayo?
She hasn’t revealed the exact details of her next steps, but insiders say it involves a personal media and mentoring venture — one she’s hinted at in past interviews.
