The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.
In a statement posted on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, August 4, WAEC declared the release of the results, much to the relief and anticipation of thousands of students across Nigeria.
“The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” WAEC wrote.
Students who took the exam can now access their results via WAEC’s official result-checking portal at www.waecdirect.org. They will need their examination number, PIN, and serial number on their WAEC Smart Identity Card.
How to Check Your WAEC Result Online
To check your result, visit the official WAEC Result Portal and follow these steps:
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
- Select your Examination Year (2025)
- Choose your Examination Type (School Candidate Result)
- Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number and Serial Number
- Click “Submit” to view your result
Candidates without an e-PIN may need to purchase one online or from accredited dealers. Ensure your browser is up to date to avoid issues loading the result page.
