Elon Musk has again grabbed national attention, this time with a thunderous warning over U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial “Big, Beautiful Bill.”
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO issued the warning on Monday through his social media platform, X. He called the proposed bill an “insane spending bill” and declared that if it passes the Senate, he will immediately form a new political party.
Musk has become a loud critic of the legislation, which is packed with Trump’s campaign promises on immigration, defense, tax cuts, energy, and the debt ceiling.
In a string of posts on X, Musk did not mince words.
“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day,” he declared.
According to him, the bill represents a betrayal of fiscal responsibility. He said politicians who vowed to reduce government spending yet voted for what he described as the largest debt increase in U.S. history should be ashamed.
“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame,” he wrote.
A Billionaire’s Battle Against the Status Quo
Musk’s statement went further than mere disapproval.
He threatened to fight politically against those who support the bill—even if it means targeting them in their party primaries.
“They will lose their primary next year, even if it is the last thing I do on Earth,” Musk warned.
His words suggest he is ready to put his massive financial influence behind a political push to unseat them.
Musk’s message was also a broader attack on the U.S. political establishment.
He accused both Democrats and Republicans of serving the same interests and ignoring the voices of ordinary Americans.
“Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE,” Musk added.
With that, he offered a glimpse of his political vision—a breakaway force that challenges what he sees as entrenched dysfunction in Washington.
