The Ministry of Interior has launched a new digital platform to simplify the application process for citizenship and business-related services in Nigeria.
The announcement was made on Saturday, May 17, by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
She said the new platform will help improve transparency, boost efficiency, and deliver faster services to citizens and businesses.
“The public, corporate bodies, and other stakeholders can access the platform via the Ministry’s website interior.gov.ng or directly at candb.interior.gov.ng. For support, they can email candb-support@interior.gov.ng,” Ajani stated.
She added that the ministry is committed to improving citizenship management and public service delivery through digital transformation.
More Digital Reforms Underway
This latest launch is part of a series of digital reforms by the Ministry of Interior.
In February, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced plans to introduce digital landing and exit cards for visitors to Nigeria. These cards must be filled out before arrival.
The minister also stressed the need to harmonise Nigeria’s immigration database. He said all approvals must now go through real-time checks with Interpol and other security agencies.
“We want a secure, efficient system that protects the country and ensures accurate data for decision-making,” he said.
