Miss Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old representing Osun State, has won the coveted Miss World Nigeria 2025 title.
The prestigious event was held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday. Raimi emerged as the top contestant among 37 competitors from across the country.
In the final round, she faced off against Miss Imo, Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, and Miss Abia.
Raimi, a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, captured hearts not just with her grace but with her inspiring personal story.
When asked about overcoming bullying, she shared her struggles growing up without a mother and enduring harassment from her caregiver.
“I was told I would never amount to anything, but today, I stand here as Miss World Nigeria 2025,” Raimi said.
Her victory is more than just a crown—it symbolizes resilience, empowerment, and the ability to rise above adversity.
Preparing for the Global Stage
As Nigeria’s newly crowned beauty queen, Raimi will represent the country at the 72nd Miss World Pageant in Hyderabad, India. It will take place from May 7 to 31, 2025. She will compete against contestants from 140 countries, aiming to bring home the prestigious title.
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the organizer of Miss World Nigeria, congratulated her in a statement. “Congratulations to Joy Mojisola Raimi! She has proven that determination and courage can make dreams come true.”
Beyond beauty and glamour, Raimi is passionate about humanitarian causes. She founded “The Love for Humanity” project, which promotes kindness and restores faith in humanity through various outreach programs.
The newly crowned queen is expected to use her platform to advocate for social change, inspire young girls, and represent Nigeria on the international stage.
