On Tuesday, Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle announced his final 23-man squad for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
This selection follows the provisional 39-man list released last week.
The squad includes three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders, and eight forwards, blending experienced players with emerging talents.

Nigeria will face Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21. Four days later, they will host Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

As of now, Rwanda leads Group C with six points. Nigeria currently sits in third place with three points. Securing victories in these upcoming matches is essential for the Super Eagles to improve their standing.
