US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports.
“From now on, women’s sports will be only for women,” Trump said at the White House signing ceremony. “With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over.”
Trump’s EO allows government agencies to deny funds to schools that allow transgender athletes to compete on women’s teams.
“We will defend the proud tradition of female athletes, and we will not allow men to beat up, injure and cheat our women and our girls,” Trump added to applause and cheers.
“If you let men take over women’s sports teams or invade your locker rooms, you will be investigated… and risk your federal funding,” Trump warned.

The president said he would further push the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to change its rules on transgender athletes before the 2028 Los Angeles games.
He said he had ordered Secretary of State Marco Rubio to “make it clear” to the IOC that “we want them to change everything having to do with the Olympics and having to do with this absolutely ridiculous subject.”

Trump added that he had directed Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem to deny visa applications to “by men attempting to fraudulently enter the United States while identifying themselves as women athletes to try and get into the Games.”
Trump, Hero of the Right!
President Trump’s actions borders of a culture war over transgender rights that has sharply divided American society over the last few decades. Since starting his second term, Trump has targeted gender non-conforming people with a series of orders.
At his inaugural speech on January 20, he announced that henceforth US government policy will only recognize two genders, male and female.

He has also banned transgender troops from the military, and proceeded to restrict gender transition procedures for people under 19.
While some have vilified the president for his decisions describing them as discriminatory against transgender people, others on the right-wing have praised him as a hero.
Earlier, the Republican-led House of Representatives passed a bill restricting transgender athletes from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. The issue has become a rallying point for conservatives, who argue that allowing transgender athletes to compete against women is unfair.
