Suzzette Chibuogu, the ex-wife of Dr Ikenna Erinne, a late US-based Nigerian cardiologist, has denied any suggestion she is linked to her ex-husband’s death.

A popular influencer on Facebook, Clayton Udoh, claimed in a video that Erinne committed suicide after losing a child support case and being ordered to pay $15,000 per month.

Udoh also alleged Erinne lost his visitation rights and medical license amid the legal battle with Chibuogu. However, Suzzette’s father Francis Van-Lare, disputes that.

Reactions on Social Media

These claims caused a stir on social media, with many users demanding Chibuogu’s identity be revealed. However, Chibuogu’s father dismissed the some of the allegations in the story carried by JolibaLive News! yesterday.

Mr Van-Lare argued that Erinne took his life to avoid consequences after allegedly holding his ex-wife and children at gunpoint for three hours.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Suzzette supported her father’s claims, describing the incident as a “near-death experience” for her, during which she had to “beg to live for three hours.

She claimed she had been the primary caregiver and financial provider for her children, including her disabled child, while Erinne lived in another state.

Those who know our situation know that their dad hasn’t even lived in the same state as us for the majority of their lives,” she explained. “They know that my son is permanently disabled and has been in therapy 40 hours a week since he was one year old.”

Threats and Possible Legal Action

Ms Chibuogu also reports that she’s speaking out because of threats directed at her and her children since the incident. But she warned she has evidence to take legal action if the harassment continues.

I have received dozens of text messages and calls threatening my life and my children’s lives. This has to stop. I have videos, pictures, and police documentation of multiple incidents. I don’t want to take it there. This has to stop.

There are a lot of lies swirling around the internet right now and it’s impossible to address them all,” she wrote. “For years I have stayed silent as I’ve gone through a journey of character development, resilience, and obedience to God.

Ms Chibuogu wants people to move on with their lives as she and her children are trying to rebuild their lives after years of hardship.

Nobody knows someone like their partner. I respect the experiences and memories you had of him and I do not seek to tarnish them,” she added. “I know the truth. People that know me know the truth. What you think of me is not my business.
