The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry has not yet begun.
However, the Board says, “Candidates are advised to stay updated via JAMB’s official platforms. Details on the UTME/DE registration shall be released shortly. Kindly be on the lookout for updates.”
It further directs prospective candidates to prepare ahead by obtaining their National Identification Number (NIN) and a unique phone number.
“You can get your NIN ahead of time and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform to generate your profile code before the time,” JAMB advised.
The board used the opportunity to announce its approval of “The Lekki Headmaster” by Kabir Alabi Garba as the recommended reading text for the 2025 UTME Use of English paper.
“Attention prospective 2025 UTME candidates! This is to inform you that ‘The Lekki Headmaster’ by Kabir Alabi Garba has been approved as the reading text for the Use of English,” JAMB announced.
Registration Details and Timeline
While registration details and the timeline are yet to be announced, candidates are advised to stay updated through JAMB’s official platforms.
JAMB staff have been directed to update their profiles or register afresh in preparation for the examination.
The board said it is essential to comply to avoid breaches of protocol during the examination process.
