The five-time Ballon d’Or winner took to social media to share an emotional message with his global fanbase. In his heartfelt post, Ronaldo said, “We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number – it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.
“From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world,” he went on “ I’ve always played for my family and you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.
“You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.”
As of September 13, 2024, his Instagram account leads with an astounding 639 million followers, showcasing his undisputed influence on the platform.
Additionally, his Facebook following stands at 170.5 million, while his presence on X, formerly known as Twitter, garners 113 million followers.
His YouTube channel, ‘UR. Cristiano,’ which launched with record-breaking speed, boasts 60.5 million subscribers, and his reach extends further with 9.3 million followers on Kuaishou and 7.5 million on Weibo.
