Nigeria’s Super Eagles’🇳🇬 newly appointed Manager, former Bayer Leverkusen coach Bruno Labbadia, has reportedly walked away from the role just days after his appointment.
On August 27, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) announced that they had secured the services of the experienced German tactician to lead the Nigerian national team.
However, the announcement appears to have been premature, as the 57-year-old Labbadia has now halted contract negotiations with the Nigeria Football Federation due to undisclosed reasons.
This unexpected development has disrupted Nigeria’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic🇧🇯, Rwanda🇷🇼, and Libya🇱🇾 which are scheduled to commence in ten days from now.
Nonetheless, there are reports that NFF confirmed Augustine Eguavoen will take charge of the Super Eagles for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers⚽⚽ against Benin Republic and Rwanda after Bruno Labbadia turned down the job offer.
