Borno State Finance Commissioner Passes Away, Second Cabinet Member Lost in a Year

Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, has died in his room on Monday morning.

The circumstances surrounding the death are still unclear, but sources say Ahmed was outside his usual time of waking up, prompting a forced entrance into his room where his lifeless body lay.

The Borno State government has confirmed Ahmed’s death. A statement from the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security said, “Borno State Government wishes to announce the death of Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the State Commissioner of Finance.”

Late Ahmed will be the second cabinet member of Governor Babagana Zulum, who died in the last one year.
