Abia Traditional Leaders Laud Tinubu and Kalu for South East Development Commission

The traditional rulers of the Igbere ancient kingdom and Bende Local Government of Abia State have expressed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the South East Development Commission (SEDC) law recently passed by the National Assembly.

The traditional rulers also commended the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt—Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, for his invaluable contribution in sponsoring the bill in parliament.

The traditional rulers made their appreciation known during a visit to Igbere Ward A and B by Mr. Kalu, who represents the Bende federal constituency of Abia State in parliament.

Various groups also thanked the deputy speaker for attracting legacy projects to the area.

Eze Roland Ekeoma, speaking on behalf of Igbere traditional rulers, praised President Tinubu for signing the SEDC bill and commended Kalu for effectively representing the constituency.

The traditional rulers also offered prayers for greater political heights. The deputy speaker received the “Pillar of Youth” award from the Presbyterian Young Peoples Association of Nigeria (PYPAN) of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Amaukwu Igbere Parish.
